Over the course of last year I drastically stepped back from all-things photography. Truth be told, for a while I really embraced the break. Any creative person will tell you that it is perfectly normal to experience dry-spells or burn-out with creativity and inspiration to create. Though I am not ready to embark on another journey into entrepreneurship, I am ready to welcome photography back into my world. This time I want to be more off-the-cuff, so to speak.
So many times I would grow tired and frustrated because of the fences I placed around my creativity, or the boundaries thereof. I had to follow certain rules and guidelines to achieve "the shot". Well, not this year. I want to let myself have full freedom to create without the pressures and stress of any limitations.
In theory, I am allowing myself to color outside the lines.
Enjoy this photograph until I get into my groove. This was taken last year. I guess it is safe to say that editing and sharing more of my work is another priority for this year. I have so many images collecting dust in folders on my external hard drive. I should be ashamed of myself!
Until next time.
Always live with purpose,
Christy Tucker
